All Dressed Up and Ready to Celebrate!

If you come to my home, you'll be greeted by my vintage mannequin. I think she's probably from the 50's, though I'm not quite sure. But as the seasons change, so does her wardrobe. With Christmas on the horizons, I dressed her up in a festive way. Now she's all ready to join in all holiday merriment!

The first item added to her wardrobe is this linen and crinoline dress. Though it's really not vintage yet (probably from the '90's), it certainly has that feel.

And of course she needs a vintage fur wrap. This one was picked up on a road trip to Nashville...it was a steal!

With a vintage fur you have to have some bling so I added this vintage rhinestone and white stone necklace.

And not to be left out, her younger friend has a "snow" necklace; though I don't think we'll be having much snow for Christmas!

So now that we're all ready, let's get this party started!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Lucky me I have a very creative cousin, Vickie. She's been making art with vintage buttons for awhile now and I was the fortunate recipient of this jem. I just couldn't help but share it with my fellow Junkers...what do you think? Do you love it as much as I do? Great job, Cuz!

And of course it's full of glitz and shine. My Pfarkel name is Flashy after all....

There was no significance to the year 2008 when she created it. But you could say it's a nod to the year my son graduated. I guess that might symbolize a new journey for us, with minus the one child at home.

And of course every tree has to have a star on the top.

A little more bling and bobbles...

And finally hung up and displayed for all to see!

Here's another gift from my Cuz from a previous visit...

...along with this button tree comprised of buttons from my Grandmother...another love!
