Well another Christmas is in the books. I have eaten, entertained, celebrated and slept (a lot) and I think I'm ready to post the final in my series of pictures. I really have enjoyed doing yet another tour (my fifth), and loved hearing all the comments. It was really fun during the tour to hear people say how they appreciated the reuse of items, rather then seeing them end up in the junk pile. When you find a piece, look for that coolness factor in it. Think outside of the box, and I'm sure you'll find some purpose for it. It really is fun to get those creative juices flowing!
It's easy to take all the credit for the decorating, but I have to give credit where credit is do. First, I have been very blessed to have such a great home to decorate. It's a long story on how we came to be here in this beautiful home, really a gift from God, but we had the best builder in the world. Thanks to Minks Custom homes in Ramsey for giving us the canvas to work with. I also want to thank Sue Wolfe, of Destination Art, for helping me get ready for it. Her creative talent is incredible, and she really helped me put it all together. Thank you, Sue! And not to forget those who put this on this year, thank you, Julie and Teri of the French Flea. I think it turned out great! So without further ado, here are the final pictures . . .
This coffee table I'm assuming was originally used to hold a wash bucket or something of that nature. When I purchased it, the glass had already been added. The aquarium on the table works great for holding what ever collection you want to put in there. Here it just holds a few ornaments. The green pillow on the couch has an ornament hot glue to it for a little bling!
This telescope was purchased on a visit to North Carolina. I knew I had to have it. It's black and white color goes perfectly with my decor!

I think this was the most talked about addition to my decor this year. A painted Christmas tree!
The balls were hung from the ceiling with fishing line and tacks at alternating lengths. I wanted them to appear as though they were hanging on the tree.
They were also hung so they would be dimensional, like a real tree. Funny thing, people wondered what I would do after Christmas. Great thing with paint, you can just paint over it!
My wire water bottle holder was transformed into a hot chocolate stand with the addition of some stenciled tin pieces. The huge jar I think was some sort of lab jar. Works great to hold the hot chocolate!
A simple dough bowl is transformed into a centerpiece with clear craft ornament balls (the metal piece removed), cedar greens and large pine cones. I think simple, but dramatic.
A vintage grate adds some flare to a window. Tiny vintage ornaments hang from cedar greens.
This ornament holder from Crate and Barrel holds vintage ornaments.
I love old pillars. This one just stands in a corner holding wall votive holders. The sign on the window sill says, "It's okay to say Merry Christmas!"
Marshmellows in a vase with glittered twigs and popcorn in a platter with candles. Think outside the box!
You know I love cloches! Just a little treat for Santa!
This large tube holds coffee beans. Goes perfect with the Destination Art coffee canvas!
Someone on the home tour told me this was originally a radiator cover. I had always thought it come from a front porch. Glass was added to make it a table.
I love this old oil painting. The distressing I think adds to it!
I purchased these "curtain" balls from a local gift shop. They're actually cotton balls on fishing line.
A glittered branch was added to the top, with a crackled bird hanging from it.
I have a small bathroom on the main floor, but am able to have this skinny cupboard in it. It was originally a built in.
This cruet works great with candles in it!
There it is in a nut shell. Another tour down. Sorry if I took too many pictures. I know I go overboard! I try my best to make it feel like you're on it with me. It was a lot of fun being a part of it, and I so enjoyed all the people who were able to come. I guess I better not say it's my last year again.
