Art & Architecture, JUNKMARKET Style
Our goal is to provide uncommonly good vintage furnishings, stylish art and re-designed accessories for your home, finery for your garden, and many other embellishments to suit your fancy….all under one roof. In addition, classes will be available for those of you who want to be in the know.
The event will be housed in the historic Art & Architecture building located at 3338 University Avenue S.E, Minneapolis, Minnesota. A full floor of architectural salvage, an outdoor garden annex, an artist’s loft filled to the brim, and classrooms with character all await your arrival. There will be something for everyone…. from stuff in the rough for the do-it yourselfers to turnkey designs and everything in between.
Mark your calendars now and stay tuned to JMS for details as they unfold. This is an event you will not want to miss so spread the word!

The French Flea February Sale - French Farm House!
French Flea February Sale, French Farm House! I'd like to see you say that five times! Ha ha! Now after a little bit of technical difficulty, here are some pictures of this months sale. And I have to say, it's right up my alley. I'm loving all the architectural, chippy white pieces! Oh la la! Hope I don't inundate you with pictures, but I'm way to tired for commentary. Sorry!
PS If you stop in, be sure to say hi! For additional information on dates, times and location of the French Flea, visit their website at thefrenchfleaofanoka.blogspot.com.

The French Flea Sale and Tea Tasting!
It's that time again already. Can you believe it! Just seems like last week. But that's how fast it sneaks up on you. Things are looking great. I love this French Farm House look that's being featured this month. It is so me. And it looks like everyone else is getting into it, too. I'll be in talking pictures so stay tuned.
I also wanted to be sure to let you know about a tea tasting and scone sampling that will be happening on Thursday morning. Linda and Andrea of The Mad Hatter Tea Room will be on hand to treat you to their wonderful scones and tea. It is an event you definitely don't want to miss. They'll be there when the sale starts at 10:00. And remember, we restock so come early and often. Hope to see you there!
God is Good!
I usually like my posts to be light and playful and not too terriby wordy. But I felt the urge to post something a little more on the serious side. After seeing a few fellow bloggers' post on loved ones dying, friends being diagnosed with cancer and other devistating issues, I felt it appropriate to post something a little more solume. Reflection is always good.
It's been a tough few years for some folks out there. Between job losses, loved ones dying, homes being foreclosed on, problems with children, and sickness, life is hard. But one thing I do know, God is good. He didn't ever promise us anything otherwise. He never told us it would always be roses and picket fences. This is the world we live in. Hard as it may be sometimes, we need to rely on him, and not what we see. We've only been given this one life. We need to make the best of what we can. Love each other, help the hurting, feed the poor, love our children and live our life the best we can.
So when those minor things are bothering us, those little things that can drive us crazy but are so unimportant, remember those who have it so much worse. The people suffering in Haiti, those who have lost their jobs, or those who are suffering illness. Remember...life is hard, but God is good. I'll leave you with the words of Carrie Underwoods song "Temporary Home".
"This is my temporary home. It’s not where I belong. Windows and rooms that I’m passing through. This is just a stop on the way to where I’m going. I’m not afraid because I know this is my temporary home."
