Holiday Home Tour Pictures! Part 1 - 2009

They're finally here!  I've tried to capture everything I could.  And I took tons of pictures!  Another year under the belt and I think it was a success!  This was my fifth year to be on a tour.  Wow!

The tour this year was through the French Flea.  There were five homes, each different and unique.  We had  French country, Victorian colonial, cottage on Crooked Lake and retro modern  Mine they categorized as industrial chic. We must have had between 150 and 200 people through in a two and a half hour period.  It was crazy busy!  I hope everyone enjoyed themselves!  It was fun putting it on, and I love sharing my home.  Without further ado, here are the first of a series!  To see the pictures in a larger form, just double click on them!  Enjoy!

Welcome to my home!

Two candelabras flank booth sides of the steps coming up.

A vintage farm piece greets you by the front door, along with a child's sled, some vintage skates and some vintage house numbers.

And on the other side, a tree of skates!

Love these child's skates!  So unique!

Here's a little sitting area.  You can see my hay rack from an earlier post.  Don't think I'll sit here much...too cold in Minnesota this time of year!

I added the Call Street sign to the what I think is a trough.  It contains a rusty bird cage some sticks and some greens.  Love it!

Another unused sitting area...LOL!  The bench is from France and is about 100 years old.  It is a treasured piece.  The tree is in a a garbage can personalized by my friend, Sue Wolfe, of Destination Art.  Very cool!

I think I'll end this post with my Porch.  I'll continue the next one with the inside.  Until then...

The snow was a nice touch...how on earth did you arrange for that? Just kidding...if this is just the outside, I can't wait to see what's behind Door #1!

That's quite creative. I never thought of hanging old ice skates on a tree as a decoration. That is really clever and cute.
