Mirror, Mirror on the Wall . . .

I have a confession....I have a wee bit of an obsession with mirrors.  And no, it's not vanity, though they may look good on my vanity.  But there are so many different styles and designs, they just draw me in.  But with all of them that I have, I just can't pick a favorite.  Which one is yours?

This mirror was not one of my creations, though I wish I could claim it.  It was originally a fan.  How clever!

This floor length mirror was found last year in Oronoco, MN at Gold Rush Days.  The vendor, Billy Joe, made it out of old tin, the chipping paint against the metal is amazing!   It was a great find and I love how it looks in my front room against the silver sage colored paint.

This one may be my favorite!  It was an old spot light converted into a mirror...one purchased from Ms. Sue herself at the AAJMS sale no less.  It makes me feel like a star....hello, darlin'!

Sorry, this may not be vintage, but who says mirrors have to be round, oval, square or rectangular.  This one's really a star!

Who says you can't take a mirror that was suppose to be used for something else and reinvent it.  This one was originally suppose to be on the side of a car, but with a cloche on the top it showcases a small bird wonderfully.

Or how about paring a cloche just over a dresser mirror...

This mirror was a garage sale find I picked up for $10.  It was oak, which wouldn't work in my bedroom, so a coat of white paint fit the bill.

This may be a close second at being one of my favorite mirrors, also from vintage tin.  It just has such great detail and patina.  I think Jazzy the cat likes it, too!

I featured this in a previous post and it is a fabulous mirror.  Originally found on a ship it is very unique.  There are just way too many to have to pick a favorite.

This dresser mirror may have lost it's handle, but in it's imperfection it's perfect!

Last, but certainly not least is this shaving mirror.  Another piece that may not be perfect but somehow that makes it even better!

I think it's amazing when people who have never seen themselves because they have no access to minors get to see themselves for the first time. Can you imagine that type of experience?
