What do you get when mix a quaint old town in Southern Minnesota, a beautify B&B, and a junk sale? Perfection!
I was priviledged this past weekend to spend it at the Victorian Inn is St. Charles, MN with Sue Whitney of JUNKMARKET Style as guests of the self proclaimed Pfarkel Sisters! Holding their Second Annual Vintage Treasures Market, Sue was on hand to do a book signing. It was a great time with good friends, a good cause and just all around good junk!
We stepped back in time to this Early 1900's Victorian Mansion owned my Sharon Vreeman.
The gardens were lush and beautiful.
And the perfect spot to pitch a tent and have a sale!
And they had some great stuff to sell.
I really love how this turned out. Beautiful!
This was an old prescription box loaded with prescriptions. Very fun, but the question? What would you do with it?
I purchased this unique receipt thing-a-ma-jig (like my technical term?...lol). And no, I didn't pay $42. I thought it was a steal at $12!
The Pfarkel Sisters with Marge aka Fosteroria, their adopted Pfarkel Sister (first on the left), joined other fellow vendors for a photo op.
In the evening, the Pfarkel Sisters prepared a spread for us. Talk about making us feel welcome! Love the table . . .
And what a perfect mix of hosta leaves and hydrangeas!
Nummmmmmmmy . . . good grub!
And good conversation!
We enjoyed our time with sweet little Sofie. She was a cutie!
Cheers!
The Famous Pfarkel Sisters. I wish I could remember their Pfarkel names. There real names are from L to R, Janelle, Sharon and Diane.
And when we were done? Sitting in a circle and indulging in some good conversation.
Sue and Sophie playing a little game.
And we ended the day in Diane's RV. Sue and I opted to sleep in the B&B (I lucked out and got the Honeymoon Suite), but the vintage RV with a pink and blue theme it definitely is a cool ride! Thanks, Pfarkels, for a great time!

Looks and sounds like you had a blast. There is nothing like spending time with people with the same interests.

You are one lucky gal! What a way to spend the day.
My kind of fantasy weekend..junk, funk and a great tin trunk (full of beautiful plants!)
Thanks for the little vacation from the mundane.
Those Pfarkel's have got it goin' on. That looks like a truly fun weekend with great junk!

I like how you call things you don't know what the name is thing-a-ma-jig's. That is really cute. I'm glad you got to spend time with family. That's always nice to see and hear about.
