How to Build a Chest of Drawers????

Okay, maybe I didn't build this set of chest of drawers, but I did have to put them together.  And I think I did quite well, if I do say so myself!

I found this uber cool piece at a local occasional sale.  Loved all the many drawers it has.  Did I say LOVE?  The only problem with it?  It had been spray painted with a thin coat of silver spray paint.  I didn't mind the silver, just didn't like the spray job.  So here's what I did.

I first sanded (excuse my language) the crap out of it.  I use a Black and Decker Mouse Sander and a medium grade sandpaper.  It allowed some of the original wood to come through.  Then I added a coat of Fiddes & Sons colored wax, this color being Rugger Brown.

The really fun thing about this piece?  It's a stackable set!! And if for some reason I want it to become shorter, I can!

I feel like a kid putting together my building blocks!  I guess you're as young as you feel!

Good thing someone was smart enough to number the drawers!  They only know me too well!

On the top of one of the drawers were these instructions.

And if those weren't clear enough for me, here are some more explicit instructions.  Boy do they know me!

All complete!

I love how all the drawers have different handles.  Much more interesting than them being all the same!

With the addition of a few accessories, it all fits together just . . . perfectly!
